Girls Soccer drops a close one to Pike Central back on Thursday 1-3. The Lady Wildcats had a PAC game with Pike Central on this past Thursday and it was a rough one from the start. A few minutes into the game Junior Center Back Jaycee Campbell down with an ankle injury. She was later able to come back in the game but not at full strength. Shortly after Campbell returned and the Wildcats had a corner kick with Senior Taylor Ellison taking it. Micah Lamberson was able to follow it up and put it in the back of the net to put the Lady Wildcats ahead 1-0. Pike Central quickly retaliated and tied the score up with a breakaway. Minutes later Pike Central again had a breakaway and scored again making the score 1-2 Pike Central. It was a physical game and at halftime the ladies were able to get themselves together and come back out to start the second half with some energy. They had several chances but Pike Central had too much offensive power and scored again and that was all it took. The final score was 1-3 in favor of Pike Central.
