Evansville Sectional at The Farm Golf Course - Par 70 The Mount Vernon Lady Wildcat golf team wrapped up the team season at the Evansville sectional Saturday with a team score of 398. The girls struggled around the greens, which were lightning fast, but stayed focused and finished strong. The team score was the 5th best of 12 teams for the day. The top three advancing teams included Castle (328), Memorial (346), and North (375.) The ‘Cats were led by junior Libby Reese, who brought home a solid 87, advancing to the regional as an individual for the second straight year. That was the 8th best score of all participants. Senior Emily Jones had a very respectable 94, which was 18th best individually. Senior Aubrey May struggled on the back 9, but ended up with 50-58 for a 108 and the third best Wildcat score. The 4th score for MV was had by both junior Attalia Wolf and freshman Addison Pickett who each had a commendable 109. The Wildcats had a good day overall and a very successful season with a 53-22 overall record and a 10-5 dual match record.
