Lady Wildcats Soccer Team Makes it 5 in a Row!! The Lady Wildcats traveled to Southridge today to take on the Raiders in a PAC match up. The game started out with Ella Sponn having a great chance at the top of the box but took the ball wide right. Then the Raiders had two chances with corner kicks but the Lady Wildcats defense was able to control the ball and send it up the field to deny the chances by the Raiders. A few minutes later Ella Sponn had another chance this time missing wide again. Both teams continued to fight for possession and the game was still scoreless with 10 minutes left in the first half the Lady Wildcats had a great chance with a shot by Aaliyah Eaton that just missed wide. In the second half the Lady Wildcats found their energy and started playing better soccer. Five minutes into the second half Freshman Baylee Stallings gained control deep in the Wildcats defensive third and managed to dribble up the left side and take the ball in to find the back of the net with her second goal of the season. The Lady Wildcats had several more chances but couldn't find the back of the net. Luckily the defense stepped up and was able to keep the Raiders off the scoreboard. Jaylan York earned her first shutout of the year in goal. The Lady Wildcats are now on a five game winning streak. The current record is 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the PAC. Monday night they will travel to Gibson Southern.
