Mount Vernon High School

The Mt. Vernon Boys Golf Team had a great day at Helfrich by shooting a 331, which was a season best score. This gave Mt. Vernon overall 6th place and came within 12 strokes of Evansville Mater Dei at the 5th position. Mt. Vernon was led by Preston Russell and Brennan Austin with 79s. Both players recorded personal bests and came within 2 strokes of a playoff for individual advancement to regional. Nathan Craig came in with a career best 84, while Max Hamrick ended his career with an 89. Mason Higginson carded a 96. The Cats will use this experience to make a run next season. We thank all the parents and fans that have supported us all season.
