Mount Vernon High School

IHSAA Student Advisory Committee announced for 2025-26 Eighteen (18) high school student-athletes from across the Hoosier State will serve next school year as members of the 2025-26 IHSAA Student Advisory Committee (SAC). Mt. Vernon's Libby Reese is among the new members to join this group. In her application, Reese stated,"I have been involved in numerous community service projects. Some of this includes helping clean up at Jacob's Village, a local non-profit that provides housing to adults with special needs. I have also assisted the local Kiwanis with a Reading Circle. In addition to this, I have refereed and worked the scorer's table during Special Olympics basketball games and tournaments. Lastly, I have volunteered during Feeding our Future, to provide lunches for students in Mt. Vernon during summer break. For the last two years, I have been the President of the Class of 2027 at Mt. Vernon. I am also the Secretary of the MVHS Student Council and the Treasurer of Key Club. Lastly, I am the Vice President of my 4-H group. I am involved in a variety of activities and clubs at MVHS. Last year, I was a part of MV Freshman Leadership Academy, which led to my involvement in LeadMV, a leadership committee for multi-sport student-athletes, this year. Additionally, I am a member of Student Council, Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and PepClub at the school. Due to my position as Class President, I am also on my school's Student Advisory Council." Congratulations, Libby!
