Congratulations on outstanding performances from Mount Vernon's own Ozzy Jankowski & Peyton McDaniel. The MTV Swim Club members competed with the nation's fastest swimmers, part of a 3 meet professional circuit offering up to $3000 in prize money per event. The meet saw one world record and two American records set. Both Mount Vernon swimmers hit lifetime best swims and moved up considerably in the rankings. McDaniel's high point was making finals in the 50 freestyle, just .04 seconds away from a Senior National cut, and placing 27th, up from the 48th seed. Jankowski's high point was qualifying for the summer Junior Nationals in two events, one event only .26 off a Senior National cut. Both swimmers will now compete at the Junior Nationals in Irvine, California at the end of the summer; the most prestigious 18 and under event in the nation! With the meet full of Olympians and collegiate swimmers, both swimmers were highly ranked in their respective age brackets. McDaniel was the fastest 50 freestyler 16 and under, and both ranked from top 6 in a fly event in their age groups. Results include: Ozzy Jankowski- 100 meter butterfly placed 56th, up from 75th seed 50 meter butterfly placed 42nd, up from 70th seed Peyton McDaniel- 100 meter butterfly placed 47th, up from 69th seed 50 freestyle placed 27th, up from the 48th seed 50 butterfly placed 45th, up from the 48th seed 100 freestyle placed 73rd, up from the 78th seed
