The Mt. Vernon Boys Golf Team traveled to Vincennes on Saturday and finished in the top 8 at Cypress Hills. The team score of 339 was a season best 18 hole score. The 20 team field was loaded with talented teams and players. Preston Russell had a solid performance with a 79 and was the medalist for the Cats. Brennan Austin carded an 82, while Freshman Chase Byerly came in with an 85. Jake Carlisle finished the scoring with a 93. Cash Willis of Boonville was the overall medalist with a 70.
