Tonight the boys Wildcats track team travel to Castle for a triangle meet. Tonight was a great showing for the boys with multiple personal bests. Mt. Vernon had a great showing in all events tonight. Highlighted performances including Whitaker Hartman placing 3rd in his first showing in the long jump (17-9.75), Maddex Salee placing 2nd in high jump (5'2) and 2nd in pole vault (11), Saint Henderson winning shot (43-9), Avery Capes taking 1st in the 3200m (12:06), Marcus Riecken 1st in the 800m (2:11) PR, and Ryan Lilleston taking 1st in the 200m (22.82) and the 400m (50.91). Ultimately the fireworks of the night came at the end. The 4x400 relay team (Maddex Salee, Marcus Riecken, Braxton Whitfield, Ryan Lilleston) capped off the night with an exciting come from behind win. Tonight showcased a lot of promise going forward.
