This weekend MTV Swim Club attended the Indiana Swimming Senior State meet as a wrap up to the 25-26 short course season. 15-18 year old club members qualify by achieving time standards throughout the season and compete in up to 6 events of all 4 strokes and distances. Mount Vernon swimmers took home 5 state titles & set 3 new state records! Peyton McDaniel took home 6/6 medals. 100 free- 1st, Junior National cut 50 fly- 1st, new state record, Junior National cut 200 fly-4th 50 free-3rd 50 breast- 3rd 100 fly- 1st, Junior National cut Ozzy Jankowski took home 6/6 medals. 100 free- 4th 50 fly- 1st, new state record 200 fly- 3rd 50 free- 6th 50 backstroke- 1st, new state record 100 fly- 2nd Camas O'Daniel 29th 50 breast, (5th for 15 year olds) 36th 200 breast 37th 50 back 75th 100 back This wraps up the short course season and is a testament to their hard work throughout the fall and winter in the pool!
