Today at the Sectional Finals, the power of a small group of dedicated swimmers was on full display. These girls made the commitment to training and each other, and for months have shown up every day and done all that was asked of them. Their families bought into our team culture and supported their efforts as well, and now they are Sectional Champions and headed to State! With only 7 swimmers in the finals today, the Wildcats took 5 of 12 events, 2 of the 3 relays, and finished in 3rd place overall as a team. Every girl rose to the challenge and dropped the time needed to hold place from the prelims and punch their card to the State Finals in Indianapolis next weekend. Some notable performances go to Peyton McDaniel- school records in the 50 free and 100 butterfly, both consideration times for the 25-26 All American nomination.
